John J. PARRAN Jr.(1923 - 2012)                               

  John J. Jr. Passed away March 10, 2012 at the age of 88. He is preceded in death

  by his devoted wife Jane (nee Von Bargen) of 54 years. Devoted father of Nan Fein

 (Richard), David Parran (Denise) and Jan Hawkins (James) and grandfather to

 John Parran (Prari), Casandra Fahrer (Benjamin), Michael Fein, Daniel Parran,

 Megan Parran, Carrie Hawkins and Cate Hawkins and great-grandfather to Asher

 and Elliott Parran and brother of Carolyn Gaffney (Joe). Originally from Bolivar

 Tennessee, he graduated with a degree from the University of Tennessee in

 Chemical Engineering and Bacteriology. After serving in WW-II as a B-24 pilot
 flying missions over Italy, he went to work for Procter and Gamble as a microbiologist for over forty years.

 He is a charter member of the P&G Victor Mills Society with 14 US patents

and 8 world patents to his name.

 Head and Shoulders was based on his patented discovery in 1966

and he coauthored numerous patents for Crest Tarter Control.
 For many years he and his wife split their time in Sebastian, Florida

and in Cincinnati. At his request, services will be private. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Mihovk-Rosenacker
